Ryokou

Ryokou is an intimate twelve-seat omakase experience led by Chef Leonard Yu of Atlanta's Michelin-recognized Omakase Table, located within the restored historic Abrams Fixtures building in southwest Atlanta. Part of a larger adaptive reuse by Braden Fellman Group, the building brings together residences, offices, and restaurants, contributing new life to one of the neighborhood's historic industrial landmarks.

The design embraces the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi—finding beauty in imperfection, age, and impermanence—while celebrating the building's existing character. Exposed timber beams, historic brick walls, and carefully restored architectural elements provide a rich backdrop for an intentionally restrained interior, allowing the craft of both the architecture and the cuisine to take center stage. A significant portion of the project focused on the design and detailing of custom millwork, in which every cabinet, shelf, and storage element was carefully considered to support the choreography of the omakase experience. The result is a space of quiet precision, where thoughtful craftsmanship and purposeful restraint create an atmosphere that feels intimate and deeply attentive to the totality of the guest experience.
